The ACFJC’s Navigator staff is entrusted with the initial client needs assessment. The Navigator acts as a single point of contact for the client to ensure the linkage to appropriate services. During the initial assessment, the Navigator evaluates the client’s particular circumstance, helps the client prioritize her/his needs, and provides safety planning as necessary. After the initial assessment is made the Navigator maintains contact with the client to ascertain that referrals were successful. The Navigator will follow up with clients via phone or in person to assess their needs continuously, ensure the connection to services, and provide further referrals as needed. To meet with a Navigator please contact our front desk at (510) 267-8800.
