Red Flags that a Child/Teen is Being Exploited

Some red flags that a child/teen you know is currently being sexually exploited:

  • Running away for a long time with no means of money, support or shelter.
  • Returning from periods of running away with injuries and/or material goods.
  • Consistent reproductive health issues and/or visits to the clinic.
  • Frequent contact with the law enforcement (e.g., police, probation, etc.)
  • Inappropriate relations and attachments to adults-men and women.
  • Frequent reports of rape or sexual assault after periods of running away.
